It's cool when you're writing a paper about your field and specialization and you get really excited about it.
I'm thankful for where I'm at.
Thanks, God, for allowing me to do something you've gifted me in and something that I'm passionate about. Continue to fuel me.
It's not all black and white, you see..

Gift of God
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord"
Romans 6:23
This passage went really well with yesterday's sermon. Pat told us to continue taking steps with God; walk with Him. Every time we speak with God or spend time with Him, our relationship is growing. God has given us a gift of eternal life with Him. Life has already started, so now for the rest of eternity we get to be with Jesus. How beautiful and difficult to comprehend.

In Between
I wanted to be a kid this week. Or maybe I wanted to be an adult?
Who knows. What I do know is that I ended up somewhere in between.
Who knows. What I do know is that I ended up somewhere in between.

Dirt
I yearn to create something; to have a mind that wanders and floats and plays.
My mind is dirt. And when I say dirt, I mean the gooey treat we had the privilege of eating as children; the dessert that conjures up nostalgia and reminds me of excitement and being at Grandma's. I often see my thoughts as brown. Not very enticing. Warm, maybe, and down to earth; the most primitive of all colors.
But I think because I was created, I can create. I'm pretty sure there are some multicolored gummy worms wiggling around in the brown matter. I want to find them, and I want to set them free.

JJ Heller
When I'm old I'll talk about the things that You have done.
Brokenness made beautiful,
The wars that You have won,
And the storms You've calmed in me
